The Palisade Peach Shack family are burger lovers! Naturally after we perfected the recipe for our new Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce we had to make a BBQ burger with it.

This recipe is part of our New Arrivals January series! Stay up to date with the Palisade Peach Shack by clicking here to sign up directly for our email list to receive bi-weekly emails about new recipes and market discounts!

Rich, Smoky, Mouth-Watering, & Juicy Are Only a Few Words to Describe Palisade Peach Shack's BBQ Burger

The classic American style hamburger has been reinvented with this BBQ burger. Featuring pepper jack cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and our new Bacon Bourbon BBQ Sauce, this recipe is like nothing you've ever tried.

We were inspired by our new BBQ sauce when we created this recipe. The sauce rounds out the flavor of the burger, adding dimension to a meal typically lacking depth.

Bacon Bourbon Burger Recipe

30-40 min

serves 4

You will need:

- 2 pounds ground beef

- 1 pound bacon

- 1 medium onion

- pepper jack cheese

- arugula

- 4 sesame seed buns

- 1/2 cup PPS bacon bourbon bbq sauce

- salt & pepper

Cooking Instructions

Start by cutting your onion. Place onion into a pan on med-high heat with oil of your choice. Season with salt. Cook until onions are translucent. Set onions aside.

Now cut the bacon into 3-4 inch strips. Place bacon into the same pan you cooked the onions. Cook the bacon until nice and crisp. Set bacon aside.

The ground beef will need to be evenly divided into 4 balls, each weighing 1/2 pound. Once you have divided the meat, flatten each ball until it is 1 inch thick—season all the patties with salt and pepper on both sides. Place into pan and cook to your liking.

Time to assemble. Cut sesame seed buns in half. On the bottom bun, place a handful of arugula, then cheese. The patty should go from the pan directly on top of the cheese. This will melt the cheese. Now spoon BBQ sauce onto the patty. Place bacon and onions on top to finish.

It's as simple as that!

I love hamburgers so much I'm ready to eat it. As a designer, I love this illustration. And would like to share bacon burger images that also impressed me. This will help to make your illustrations even more appetizing.
