Sourdough French Toast Recipe

20 - 30 min

6 servings

You will need:

- 6 slices sourdough bread (¾" thick)

- 1 cup heavy cream

- ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 2 tablespoons white sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 tablespoons butter

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- fresh fruit

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place a baking sheet inside. Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add butter and oil.

Whisk to combine eggs, cream, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish. Soak 2 slices of bread in the mix for 2 mins on each side.

Cook the 2 slices for 3- 4 mins per side in pan. Transfer to baking sheet in oven to keep them warm until you are ready to serve. Soak and cook the remained bread slices.

It's that simple!
